Numbers/Letters

In response to this week's 2thingsphotochallenge Numbers/Letters, abound.

On a recent road trip to Idyllwild, CA from inside the car.

I thought this sign was interesting for the description of the towns people.

and just as we rounded the bend on this small country road,
before entering the main town of Idyllwild we came upon this sign
in front of a local artist's home.
My mouth dropped open, and my immediate thought was 'this is the town for me'.

Idyllwild is a small alpine village about 2 hours from our home in San Diego. There is a wonderful art community here Art Alliance of Idyllwild.

Here's (1) thought for you:
"Mind your p's and q's, but let your a's and b's run wild."

Have a wonderful day! Thanks for your visits and kind words.

LOL Oak Grove

Reminds me of a roadsign near where I live called 'Bedlam'. Unfortunate, but I guess they are stuck with it.

Your responses are always first class for this challenge and always cover from every angle. Also like seeing these pictures of the open highway (not like where I live)

Wow! The sky in that first photo is breathtaking. I love all of these: the combination of numbers and letters on quiet backroads is fun. As you pointed out on my blog, it's amazing how we tend to take the combination of the two for granted and yet they're everywhere. You've just elevated the mundane to sacred!

I like your roadtrip a lot - in the top pic I really am drawn to the lower section - a stark clean asphalt composition - pure americana roadside. Art is art and that appears to be a great place to be. The snow pic is inviting. I know I am not near Tahoe, but it has that feeling. East coast snow is less inviting somehow, at least here on the flat coast. Hills and mountains maybe make snow hum. And pines - hinting at the peace and hope that is Christmas to me.

My best.
