Day/Time-Death Valley

My contribution to 2things weekly challenge Day/Time.

This photo taken in the spring just after heavy winter rains in Death Valley, CA. I stood in amazement, seeing this fragile flower amidst the dry desert floor, it's survival seemed effortless in this harsh landscape.

Thought for today:
" A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life"

Thanks for stopping by!

At first, I thought it was a painting! Delicate and poetic: hope springing from the parched earth. Wow!

What a brave little flower, to bloom like that in Death Valley and to have such a short life.

Beautiful shadows in this photograph. It must have been taken near noon, which normally is not the best time for taking pictures, but in this case it works beautifully. I love this little flower determined to make it in such a harsh environment.

Totally beautiful! That delicate little life and its shadow is truly a special moment in time which you captured wonderfully! I love finding those little life-events - being in just the right place at the exact perfect time!
